Terms of use
The short version: Mochi is a personal journal. Be kind, keep your account safe, and remember Mochi isn't a doctor.

Who we are
Mochi (the app and mochidrop.app) is run by Yohhan Dalvi, an individual, based in Maharashtra, India ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Using Mochi
By creating an account or using Mochi you agree to these terms. You need to be at least 13 to use Mochi, and if you're under 18 you need a parent's or guardian's permission. Keep your password and app lock to yourself; you're responsible for what happens in your account.
Your content stays yours
Everything you write, photograph or record in Mochi belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can run the app for you (for example to show your pages, build your recaps and create your PDF). Please only add photos and recordings you have the right to use.
Wellness, not medical care
Mochi helps you notice and write about how you feel. It is not a medical device and doesn't give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you're in crisis or worried about your safety, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line near you.
Free and Mochi Plus
Mochi is free to use. Mochi Plus is an optional paid plan with extra features. Support links for hard moments are free in every plan, always.
- Mochi Plus is bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store, and their payment terms apply too. The price, the length of the plan and any free trial are shown in the app before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your Google Play or App Store subscriptions; Plus then stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their refund rules. Deleting your Mochi account doesn't cancel a subscription by itself.
- If you stop paying, your pages stay yours and stay in your book; only the Plus extras switch off.
Invites, dewdrops and closet items
You can invite friends with your invite code. A friend can add a code in their first 14 days. They get 30 dewdrops; you get 50 once they've checked in on 3 days within 30 days of using it, for up to 10 friends. You each also get a one-time 10% discount on Mochi Plus. Dewdrops and closet items are just for fun inside Mochi: they have no cash value and can't be sold, swapped or turned into money. We may adjust these rewards, and we may remove rewards gained by cheating, like making fake accounts.
Fair use
Please don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer Mochi, or use it to harm anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.
Changes and ending
You can stop using Mochi and delete your account at any time in the app. We may update Mochi and these terms; if a change is important we'll tell you in the app first. If Mochi ever shuts down, we'll give you time to export your book.
The legal bits
Mochi is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses from using it, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra handle any disputes.
